Apricots - Are they ready?

Typically every 4 to 5 years we can anticipate a crop of this decadent fruit. The reason for the inability to have this happen yearly is due to how sensitive the blossoms are. The trees produce a beautiful blossom in the early spring and if we receive a hard frost after it will kill the fruit. So when we get them we celebrate and do the best we can to harvest and preserve them. 

We feel so blessed, for the past 4 years we have had Apricots some years have been more abundant than others. If you visit in July or early August you'll likely have the ability to pick the fresh fruit straight off the tree or enjoy dehydrated treats.
